A Piano!

Thursday, November 9th, 2006

That’s right ladies and gentlemen! Right now, sitting in my front room there is an actual working PIIIAAANNNOOOOO!!!!!!!!! I’m doing a little happy dance right now. 😀 Alright a BIG happy dance! LOL! Sione found this piano that was for sale at just $225 and I called, and we were the first callers and now we have a piano sitting in our front room!!!!! I am loving listening to the music my children are already making on it. I have always loved being in a home that had someone practicing a piano in the background, and now it is in my very own home! YAY! I am looking forward to learning myself, as well as hearing my children improve. Julie has always wanted to play. When we went to someones home that had a piano and she was allowed to play she would usually be found over plunking what she had taught herself on the keys. There is a lady in my neighborhood who I have been hoping would start teaching piano lessons. I think she would be a great teacher, and Julie would not have to walk far to go there. And if any of my other children showed a desire then we could send them over easily, too. I figure I will work on teaching myself. If I don’t seem to commit on my own I may just take lessons. I know that I am more likely to do the follow through when I have someone to “report” to. KWIM? Sad, I know. Hopefully I will show an improvement in my character and be self motivated. Oh, and by the way……WOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOO!!!!!! I have a PIANO!!!!!!!!

A LITTLE BROTHER FOLLOWS ME

Monday, November 6th, 2006

A careful boy I want to be;
A little brother follows me.
I do not dare to go astray
For fear he’ll go the selfsame way.

I cannot once escape his eyes;
Whate’er he sees me do, he tries;
Like me he says he’s going to be-
That little brother following me.

He thinks that I am good and fine;
Believes in every word of mine.
The bad in me he must not see-
That Little brother following me.

I must remember as I go,
Through summer’s sun and winter’s snow,
I’m building for the years to be
That little brother following me.
