I cannot do everything, but I can do something.
And because I cannot do everything,
I will not refuse to do something that I can do.
What I can do, I ought to do,
What I ought to do, by the Grace of God I will do!

Yesterday I got my first delivery of my recent book orders. I am so excited about them. I only had $200 to spend on curriculum (only? I am thrilled I got to spend that!) and it went quickly. Yesterday I got 2 books “Children Just Like Me” by Dorling Kindersley and “Natural Speller” by Design-A-Study. I was already excited about this spelling book, but having looked through it more last night I am very happy I purchased this. Not only is it grades 1-8 in one book, it includes some grammar, and the proper letter writing forms for different situations. I also like how the words are put in there. The lists are in categories of rules (true, blue, instead of true, too) as well as under subjects such as measurements, homophones, etc. I think this is going to be great. Julie has been begging me to do a spelling bee for her, and yesterday being Valentine’s Day I didn’t have the time. Today she is gone to Young American Stateswomen Association. Friday is going to be our Spelling and Board Game Day, anyhow.
I can hardly stand the wait for my other books to come!
My family is going to Disneyland with some of our friends! we are so excited about this. I have never been to Disneyland, and my husband was very young when he went. I think this will be great adventure for our family. We are going to learn about Walt Disney the man, the history of Disneyland, as well as the geography and the math for the trip. We will be there for Collin’s birthday, which he is simply extatic over. We have paid for the room, the park tickets and the plane tickets. Collin asked if his plane tickets looked different from everyone elses, since he was going to be there for his birthday. He makes me smile. We are all pretty excited in our house. The kids are thrilled about flying almost as much as they are about Disneyland. What a blast!
Last night at my Thomas Jefferson Education Basic Training Course (whew! What a long name for that class, lol) I felt my baby move for the first time. At first I thought it was gas moving through my system, but I realized after the first couple of times that it was actually something much more exciting. I think Sione was getting a little worried that I hadn’t felt anything yet. My suspicion is that he was watching my belly growing as much as it has and he was thinking “she has to be feeling something by now!”
I actually was able to put my hand on my belly and feel the movement that way as well. It was really rather nice.
